I'm grew up in New Jersey, and lived in Philadelphia for three years. Surrounded by Italian American culture my whole life, I take pizza seriously.
The shop I'm about to tell you about is incredible. Top tier. I'm not just saying this; a lot of pizza that I eat outside of the US Northeast disappoints me. I didn't like it in California, I didn't like it in Perú, and I didn't like it in Paraguay...until now.
The best pizza in Asunción is from Pizzeria Mammarella

Their crust is sourdough, otherwise known as "Masa Madre". It's incredible. Even when I ordered online with Pedidos Ya, it arrived very fast and was very delicious. When it was delivery, I do have to admit that they didn't cut the pizza. But it was worth it.
At Fluido Spanish School, we all went there for an event, and many said it was the best pizza that they've had in Asunción.
